MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Horizon Insurance Group, Inc., a subsidiary of First Tennessee Bank, the principal subsidiary of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN), recently entered into an agreement to acquire the insurance business of Sandlin Insurance Agency located in Germantown, TN. Truman Sandlin, owner of the agency, will continue to service the accounts on behalf of First Horizon Insurance Group, Inc.

Truman Sandlin has more than 45 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a certified insurance counselor and the past president of Professional Insurance Agents of Memphis.

Sandlin is joined by his daughter Lori Sandlin, who has more than 20 years of insurance experience. She is also a certified insurance counselor and has an MBA in entrepreneurial management from Regent University. The Sandlins have been a team since 1989. They provide risk management solutions and comprehensive insurance coverage to businesses and non-profits in the community.
