NEW YORK, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In response to the launch of the new Golden Double Stuf Oreo cookies, Donald J. Trump announced today that he is pursuing a "golden" business opportunity by attempting to purchase the Oreo Double Stuf Racing League (DSRL). In the latest exciting installment of the Oreo DSRL ad campaign, which launches nationally on Aug. 31, Oreo rejects Mr. Trump's bid to buy the league. Much like the Manning brothers challenged last year's league-newcomers, Venus and Serena Williams, Mr. Trump challenges the quarterback brothers to a lick-off for the League and enlists a partner of his own: comedian and actor Darrell Hammond.

Oreo senior brand director John Ghingo says Mr. Trump and Mr. Hammond were a natural fit for the popular DSRL campaign given the newest "golden" cookies.

The newest Oreo DSRL ads, directed by critically-acclaimed director Peter Berg, features the foursome in Mr. Trump's boardroom, where it all comes down to an Oreo Double Stuf lick race as the determining factor of whether Mr. Trump gets the league or if it remains open to all Oreo fans. The two teams will face off in a lick-off event in January to determine the fate of the DSRL.
