Enterprise and mobile software provider Sybase and Indian IT services provider HCL Technologies have announced the formation of an alliance to provide customers with real time operational business intelligence.
Under the partnership, HCL will provide IT services around Sybase's RAP data warehouse and IQ analytics platform. The companies said the joint offering will extract real-time data from multiple sources and transform it into actionable business intelligence to improve efficiency and decision-making across the enterprise.
The alliance will initially focus on the financial services industry, including capital, retail, wholesale and insurance market segments, and later expand into related industries.
Prem Kumar, president and global head of financial services at HCL Technologies, said: "As we expand our partner ecosystem in key global markets, Sybase's business intelligence offerings will provide a legitimate competitive advantage through distinctive business integration capabilities for real time, compliance, reporting and analytics."
Sybase has been expanding its BI capabilities and offerings. In February it upgraded its IQ analytics server with new tools for data monitoring and management, better security and faster analytic processing. In May it formed an alliance with MicroStrategy to offer integrated packaging, joint product certification, and technical support to enable companies to reduce the time for implementing business analytics.
