Aug. 30--VICTORVILLE
--During a frank video interview with the Daily Press, Councilwoman JoAnn Almond expresses her frustration with power projects she says have put Victorville on the brink of bankruptcy -- which, she adds, may be a needed catalyst to "clean house."
During the interview, Almond also shares her concern over the city's use of restricted funds, what she sees as an unhealthy relationship with Inland Energy and her belief that the council is still getting "fuzzy math" when it comes to the city's finances.
Almond said she hopes San Bernardino County's grand jury investigation into the city moves forward.
"I would like to see the people that did things that they shouldn't have be accountable," she said, "and everybody in the city should know who they are."
