Aug. 31, 2009 (Business Wire) -- MF Global Ltd. (NYSE: MF), a leading intermediary offering customized solutions in global cash, derivatives and related markets, has appointed Paul G. Farrell as global head of Foreign Exchange, effective immediately.

Mr. Farrell, who has nearly 35 years of financial services experience, will be responsible for managing MF Global’s foreign exchange business across all customers, products and geographies around the world. He will be based in New York, overseeing foreign exchange teams in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.
Before joining MF Global, Mr. Farrell held several management positions at JPMorgan Chase from 1973 to 2008. As a Managing Director, he was head of a number of Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading teams. He has played a key role in building and enhancing JPMorgan’s Foreign Exchange business from the ground level up during the last 20 years.
