Sep. 2, 2009 (Business Wire) -- Answers Corporation (NASDAQ: ANSW), creators of the leading answer engine Answers.com® which includes the properties ReferenceAnswers™ and WikiAnswers®, today announced the start of a global nine-day online adventure. It’s the WikiAnswers 93 Experience, a set of three events running September 1 through September 9, 2009.
The 93 Experience, open to all WikiAnswers community members, consists of three events: town hall sessions; the AnswerHunt, and a Video Contest.
An informative video explains how to participate and how the nine-day event will unfold.
The primary online event, held on 09-09-09, is the AnswerHunt, a twist on the ever-popular reality game show The Amazing Race. Contestants can virtually travel around the WikiAnswers world from the comfort of their homes or offices. The contest is a fun event consisting of clues, riddles, and tasks that allows members to work together as a team, using problem-solving skills in order to complete the online scavenger hunt. The first team to navigate through the Answers websites, solve the riddles and complete the tasks will win the AnswerHunt.
In a series of Town Hall Sessions, webcasts of Answers.com’s WikiAnswers’ “team behind the scenes” will also be answering questions about the site, tools, who’s who and more. People can submit questions to the WikiAnswers community team and the results will be posted online. As Digg and President Obama have shown, Town Hall Sessions are a fun, creative way to participate in an online conversation and learn about topics through answers to questions you didn’t even know you had. http://www.spokenhub.com/pdf/SpokenHub-Gov--Virtual_Town_Hall.pdf
The Video Contest will give members of the community the opportunity to upload videos of themselves answering WikiAnswers questions.
Prizes valued at up to $4,000 in the aggregate will be offered to contest winners.
