Wilmington Trust Selects VeriSign to Provide New Mobile Banking Services

(Source: Datamonitor)trackingWilmington Trust has selected VeriSign Messaging and Mobile Media, a division of VeriSign, a provider of internet infrastructure, to provide text banking services to its clients.

Clients will be able to access banking information, such as ATM and branch locations, personal account information, and recent transaction history via text message, enabling added convenience and access to real-time information via their mobile devices.

VeriSign Mobile Banking Services allow banks and financial institutions to replicate and enhance the internet banking on the mobile phone, providing clients with options to access interactive services such as multifactor authentication, balance inquiries, transaction history, bill payment, fund transfers, and alerts via mobile messaging.

Rebecca DePorte, senior vice president of personal financial services for Wilmington Trust, said: "We continue to seek ways to deliver value and enhanced experiences to our clients. By working with VeriSign, we are now able to provide our clients with convenient, secure mobile access to their accounts."
