Effective Sept. 4, 2009, Los Angeles-based Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. (TFA) completed its merger with its affiliate, St. Petersburg, Florida-based InterSecurities, Inc. (ISI). The resulting entity is a full-service, independent broker/dealer with headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL, and a West Coast office in Los Angeles, CA, and will retain the Transamerica Financial Advisors name.

The merged entity has in excess of 1,700 registered representatives and $16 billion in client accounts.

Registered representatives affiliated with the consolidated broker/dealer will continue to enjoy the same independence when it comes to product offerings and continued access to the state-of-the-art field technology and support that has set the broker/dealers apart from the competition.
