Sep. 8, 2009 (Business Wire) -- MF Global Ltd. (NYSE: MF), a leading intermediary offering customized solutions in global cash, derivatives and related markets, has named Robert Lyons as North American chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Mr. Lyons will manage the company’s day-to-day operations in North America, including the region’s operational controls and its administrative and reporting procedures. He will be based in New York.

Prior to joining MF Global, Mr. Lyons was chief operating officer at Watermill Trading, LLC. From 1987 until 2008, he served in a number of capacities within the Global Equities Division at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc, including chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
