NEW YORK, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The FeedRoom, a pioneer in online video communications, and a market leader in live streaming video and digital asset management, today announced that Interactive Media Strategies has named four of The FeedRoom's enterprise video customers among the recipients of its first annual Excellence in Enterprise Video Awards (EEVA) program. Barnes & Noble, Bausch & Lomb, Hewlett-Packard and Intel Corporation are among those being recognized by the market research firm for innovation and ROI in the deployment and use of online video applications in business.
"We sought to establish this first-of-its-kind awards program to showcase the truly outstanding achievements of organizations using online video to improve business processes, reduce costs and expand reach to new audiences," said Paul Ritter, Vice President at Interactive Media Strategies, a market research firm dedicated to technologies shaping the future of enterprise communications. "By enabling these thought leaders to tell their stories of success in a series of feature videos benefits the industry as a whole and makes it easier for businesses of all sizes, geographies and industries to achieve success with their own video initiatives."
Selection of the EEVA winners for 2009 by Interactive Media Strategies was based on vendor nominations and on-camera interviews conducted by the firm's senior research directors with award finalists to evaluate four criteria: demonstrated business impact of video, ROI data and success metrics, uniqueness of video applications deployed, and thought leadership demonstrated by the implementation of enterprise video in innovative or ground-breaking ways.
Among this year's recipients across various categories are four organizations who utilize the FeedRoom 4.0 Enterprise Video Platform(TM) to power their online video communications, including:
-- Hewlett-Packard: "Most Innovative Use of Online Video in Customer
Support" for its Total Care Support program;
-- Bausch & Lomb: "Excellence in Achieving ROI with Enterprise
Video" for its Bausch & Lomb TV video portal initiatives;
-- Intel Corporation: "Leadership in Using Social Media for PR and
Corporate Communications" for enabling social networking sites
around the world to embed Intel videos; and
-- Barnes & Noble: "Most Innovative Use of Video for Engaging
