Sep. 10, 2009 (Business Wire) -- Charles River Associates (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing management, economic, and financial consulting services, today announced the expansion of its capabilities in Antitrust & Competition Economics and Energy & Environment with the addition of two new vice presidents—Dr. Doug Zona and Todd Allmendinger. The Company also announced the hiring of Mark Winston, a former law firm partner and federal prosecutor, to a newly created vice president position that will encompass business development efforts with law firms and in-house counsel as well as corporate investigations and compliance work. In addition, the Company announced the appointment of John McCabe as a new corporate controller.

Antitrust & Competition Economics
Dr. Douglas Zona, Vice President, is an antitrust expert specializing in the competitive effects of mergers and acquisitions, bid-rigging, price fixing, regulation, and regulatory reform. Dr. Zona supports litigation and strategic advisory matters by applying statistical and econometric methods, and he has extensive experience providing expert reports and testimony in antitrust and competition policy disputes. A thought leader in the antitrust arena, Dr. Zona has published numerous academic articles, papers, and reports on a broad array of issues. Before joining CRA, he was a director with LECG. Previously, he was a vice president with Cornerstone Research, Inc. and a vice president with National Economic Research Associates. Dr. Zona is also former adjunct professor of economics at the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science. He holds PhD and MA degrees in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a BA degree in Economics from the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Zona is based in CRA’s Oakland office.
