LAVAL, QC, Sept. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Mercator Transport Group Corporation
("Mercator Transport") (TSX-V: GMT) announces shareholder voting results for
its annual meeting of shareholders held September 10, 2009.
The following directors were elected to the Board by the shareholders
represented at the meeting: Ms. Denise Verreault, Messrs. William Spurr,
Robert Panet-Raymond, Laurent M. Marchal, Patrick Bazinet, Alexandre Jarry,
Xavier Ayme and Jean-Pierre Apelian, all of which were already members of the
Board.
Messrs. Bernard Mercier and Michel G. Maila chose not to seek re-election
as director this year, after having served in this position since Mercator
Transport's listing on the TSX Venture Exchange. Management of Mercator
Transport would like to warmly thank the retiring directors, for their
experience, constant dedicated service and contribution to the growth of the
corporation.
The shareholders also re-elected Samson Belair / Deloitte & Touche as
auditors of Mercator Transport for the current fiscal year. The Board has made
some changes to the Audit Committee which from now on will be composed of
Messrs. Robert Panet-Raymond, President of the Committee, Laurent M. Marchal
and Patrick Bazinet. Mr. William Spurr was also re-appointed as President of
the Board.
Mercator Transport further announces the departure of Mr. Stephane Joly,
CFO. Mr. Joly will be stepping down December 31, 2009 to take on new
professional projects. Mercator Transport would like to express its gratitude
to Mr. Joly, for his dedicated services to the corporation over the years and
his active role in the development of Mercator Transport.
