BEIJING, Sep. 11, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASIA) (ASIA.NASDAQ), a leading provider of telecom software solutions and IT security products and services in China, announced Thursday it has reached an joint with Singapore-based Alpha Growth International Pte Ltd. (AGI) on founding a joint venture company in Singapore to expand its core business in Southeast Asia.
According to the agreement, AsiaInfo and AGI will invest four million U.S. dollars to establish the joint venture. AsiaInfo will contribute 2.8 billion dollars, accounting for 70 percent of the company's share capital.
AGI is a telecom service provider with rich experiences in marketing and sales in the Southeast Asian market.
