HAMILTON, BERMUDA - 1 September, 2009

Scorpion Offshore Ltd. ("Scorpion" or the "Company") today announced
that George Bruce Brumley, Vice-President Operations, will retire in
the fourth quarter of 2009. Mr. Brumley will be succeeded as
Vice-President Operations by James Harold Denney, who is joining the
Company on 1 September, 2009.

Jon C. Cole, CEO and President of Scorpion, said, "Bruce has been an
invaluable member of the Scorpion Team that within four years has
built, delivered, and commenced operations with six jackups in five
countries throughout the world. Our excellent safety and downtime
record is testimony to his efforts on behalf of the Company. We thank
Bruce for his dedication to Scorpion and commend him on his many
successes in transitioning the Company from the construction phase
into a fully functioning, high performance operating organization. We
wish him all the best on his future endeavors".

Jim Denney has over 35 years of experience in the contract drilling
business, the majority of which was with Nabors Industries (NYSE:NBR) , Inc. His
work experience is built on a solid foundation of rig based
operations which led to multiple senior leadership roles. He has
served as the operations manager for Nabors in the North Sea,
President of Nabors Alaska and recently as Chairman of Nabors Well
Services Ltd.
Mr. Cole further commented: "Jim's operational experience and
commitment to Performance Excellence will be a perfect fit for the
Company. His leadership in the industry and outstanding success in
HSE performance will build upon the success of the existing Scorpion
Team".
