Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ:ELON) today announced that Peter Larsson has
re-joined the company as Vice President, Networked Energy Services
(NES), Asia, and will be responsible for business development and sales
of Echelon's smart grid solutions in the Asian market. Larsson was
previously with Echelon as vice president, general manager from 2003
until 2007. Echelon is a world leader in smart grid solutions.

chief executive officer. "Peter's proven leadership skills and ability

Larsson most recently served as president and chief executive officer of
Intematix Corporation. He has over 22 years of experience in technology
management, including 18 years with Fortune 500 material science company
Raychem Corporation, and was chief executive officer and chief operating
officer of MTC Corporation, a metering company which was acquired by
Echelon in 2003.
Larsson earned an M.S.E.E. degree from Royal Institute of Technology in
Sweden and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive
Program.
