Sep. 16, 2009 (Business Wire) -- Sapient Government Services, a subsidiary of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today announced the appointment of Leslie Winik as vice president of business development. Winik brings over 17 years of experience leading large transformational projects for the federal sector—and will play a key role in furthering Sapient’s strategy for helping government agencies evolve to become more accessible and transparent through technology.

Winik most recently served as a director at Netstar-1 Government Consulting (formerly PMC), specializing in capture management, business expansion and preservation activities in program management, finance, acquisition and Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Senior Advisory Services projects. Winik has vast experience working with governmental agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of the Navy, U.S. Army and the National Archives.

She previously served as a director at ICOR Partners, where she managed a team that established an operational framework for monitoring and controlling cost, schedule and performance across IT business operations within the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service.
