TV Guide Network to air rare Swayze chat
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 6:23 PM

"Patrick Swayze: The Unseen Interview" will be telecast for the first time Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

"A lot of people say this was a movie about the loss of innocence. And I believe it was a movie about the rediscovery of innocence," Swayze said during the interview. "Sometimes a movie encapsulates a period or a moment in all of our lives in such a way that it never dies. And I think 'Dirty Dancing' did that."

The network said the interview is taken exclusively from a special 20th anniversary DVD edition of 1987's "Dirty Dancing" from Lionsgate (NYSE:LGF) Home Video.

Swayze died Monday after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57. Besides "Dirty Dancing," he was best known for his work in the contemporary film classics "The Outsiders" and "Ghost."
