US-based power and gas utility PG&E has appointed Rosendo Parra and Lewis Chew to its board of directors, as well as the board of its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
Mr Parra is a partner and co-founder of Daylight Partners in Austin, Texas, a technology-focused venture capital firm that provides funding and operating expertise to mid-stage companies.
Mr Parra has more than 25 years of experience as a successful executive in the technology industry. Prior to the launch of Daylight Partners in 2007, he spent 14 years at Dell in various executive positions.
Mr Chew is senior vice president of finance, and CEO of National Semiconductor Corporation in Santa Clara, California. Mr Chew has 25 years of experience and expertise in finance, accounting, and auditing.
In his current role, which he assumed in 2001, Mr Chew's responsibilities include leading and managing all of National Semiconductor's financial, information technology, and investor relations operations around the globe.
