Kalpana Raina Elected to Wiley's Board of Directors

Sep. 17, 2009 (Business Wire) -- Peter Booth Wiley, Chairman of the Board, John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa and JWb), announced today an addition to the membership of the global publisher's Board of Directors effective today.

Elected to the Board for the first time, Kalpana Raina is managing partner of 252 Solutions, LLC, an advisory firm that specializes in strategic development and implementation. Previously, Ms. Raina was a senior executive with The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (NYSE: BK), a global financial services company, most recently in the leadership role of Executive Vice President and Head of European Country Management and Corporate Banking. Prior to that, she served in Mumbai, India, as Executive Vice President, International. Ms. Raina also is a director of RealNetworks (NASDAQ: RNWK), where she serves on the Audit Committee and chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. She is a member of the International Advisory Board of ODX, Women Corporate Directors, and The National Association of Corporate Directors, and a past member of The U.S.-India Business Council. Ms. Raina also serves on the Board of Directors for Information Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: III, IIIIU, IIIIW), an industry-leading, information-based services company.
