Memorial Golf Tournament & Fundraising Luncheon for the fifth consecutive year.

The Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation was formed in August of 2001 with the mission of contributing to the education and well-being of children, especially children with congenital heart defects. Sydney Mae Taylor was born on March 8, 2001 with a congenital heart defect called Hypo plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Sadly, she died a short three-and-one-half weeks later on April 1, 2001. Determined to give her brief but precious life meaning, her parents decided to create The Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation, Inc. in her honor.

Each year, the foundation has held fundraisers to raise money for scholarships, funding for medical research, financial support to send children to summer camp, and financial backing for families who wish to attend Compassionate Friends National Conferences. This year the foundation has twenty three scholarship recipients.

With the hard work of the Community Enrichment Guild, Marlin's charitable committee made up of employee volunteers, this year's Memorial Golf Tournament & Fundraising Luncheon hopes to prove to be even more successful than last year's event. Marlin also participates and contributes to the foundation's springtime fundraising events.

Marlin's Community Enrichment Guild was established in 1999 with the purpose of becoming not only a "partner in business, but a friend in the community" as well. This has been accomplished through the investment of time and resources into the communities in the cities in which Marlin offices are located, and specifically by providing funds to national, regional and local charitable organizations such as the Sydney May Taylor Foundation, Inc.
