COLUMBIA, Md., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISYS), today announced that it will provide satellite ground systems for the ST-2 telecommunications satellite. Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (SingTel) and Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom Company Ltd. (Chunghwa Telecom) formed a joint venture to build the ST-2 satellite.
Under the agreement with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, the manufacturer of the ST-2 satellite, Integral Systems will provide its EPOCH Integrated Product Suite (IPS) to manage two complete Satellite Control Centers (SCCs). In addition to the EPOCH IPS command and control and OASYS orbital analysis software, the agreement includes the provision of the baseband Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT&C) hardware. The primary control center will be located in Singapore, with a back-up SCC and remote payload control center installed in Taiwan. This is Integral Systems' second contract signing with Mitsubishi Electric in six months.
