Val-d'Or, Quebec, September 22, 2009 - Knick Exploration Inc. (TSXV:KNX) (TSX-V: KNX)("Knick Exploration" or "the Company") is pleased to announce mechanical stripping has commenced on the East-West property, Val-d'Or mining camp. The stripping is concentrated in the area where recently collected surface samples assayed 10.49g/t and 8.61g/t gold (see news release September 1, 2009).
Phase I Drilling Program Nearing Completion
The Company has completed 3,752 meters (eighteen holes) of diamond drilling on its East-West property. Logging and sampling of the drill core is ongoing. Visible gold was seen in drill holes LEO-09-06 and LEO-09-10. Images of the visible gold can be viewed on the web site at www.knick.ca/projects/eastwest/ .
Data processing for target selection of the phase II diamond drill program on the East- West property has begun.
Malartic West Property-Geophysical Surveys Underway
VLF-electromagnetic, induced polarization and magnetic geophysical surveying has started on the Malartic West property. Survey results will be used for target selection in a first phase diamond drill program to test the property for "Osisko" type gold mineralization.
Expert Laboratory in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec was used for sample analysis.
