Joey Benadretti, President of SYSPRO USA, accepted the award for SYSPRO, which was presented by Dame Barbara Hay, British Consul General in Los Angeles. Benadretti shared the dais with other honored companies -- Ceradyne Inc., Allergan Inc., Sage Software -- and participated in a panel discussion on specific business issues and the state of the economy with executives from these organizations, respectively Joel Moskowitz, Doug Ingram and Richard Forsythe. The panel was moderated by Richard Reiff, Executive Editor/OC Business Journal and Host/Producer of "Inside OC."

The BABC-OC award, called the "BABA," is the newest in a succession of prestigious awards presented to SYSPRO in 2009. SYSPRO was named "Company of the Year" by the two leading technology organizations in Southern California. The significance of these honors is magnified by the area's prominence as the second largest tech market in the world. The organizations honored SYSPRO for product innovation, sales/revenues, team building, a positive effect on the technology industry and involvement with trade organizations and legislative activities pertinent to the technology industry. SYSPRO, which increased office space and staff again over the past year, was also presented with the "Key to the City" by the mayor of Costa Mesa, Calif., for the company's contribution to the local economy.
