Kemira and Akzo Nobel (OOTC:AKZOY) have reached an agreement whereby Kemira will
take over Akzo Nobel's iron coagulant sales and supply in the Nordic
countries (Sweden, Norway and Denmark). Iron coagulants are used in
water treatment. The transaction represents approximately 20% of the
Swedish iron coagulant markets. The parties have agreed not to
disclose any financial details about the agreement which will be in
force starting from November 2, 2009.
Kemira and Akzo Nobel will ensure an uninterrupted supply to the
customers. The supply of iron coagulant products will be done from
Kemira's Helsingborg site in Sweden.
