Sep. 23--Every so often, celebrities show us they can be frugal for the red carpet.

Actress Kate Walsh gave a shout-out to Aldo, the affordable shoe and accessories chain, earlier this week at the Emmy Awards. She wore a silver clutch, just $30 at the mall stores, with her pricey J. Mendel dress and Louis Vuitton shoes.

While many red-carpet celebs have the privilege of borrowing from high-end designers, it's refreshing one admits to being somewhat price conscious. Now, whether you mix high and low fashion, like Walsh, or go for a Hollywood-glam look on the cheap, you have plenty of choices.

For example, endless.com, which sells handbags and shoes, has a Martinez Valero Olivia Platform Peep Toe Pump, $148.95, that resembles the pricey Christian Louboutin heels worn by actress Kyra Sedgwick. The site also has a Hype "stardust" clutch, $82,50, similar to the Marchesa crocodile clutch actress Sandra Oh wore with her elegant gold Marchesa gown. You'll likely find other options at JC Penney, Kohl's and Dillard's.

And for dresses, Web sites, such as eDressMe.com, serve up styles that might fool any fashion snob.

CEO and founder Joanne Stone says if you want a specific Emmy dress, find a style in a similar color and silhouette. "The hot trends at the Emmys this year were red dresses and one-shoulder garments," she said.

As for that sexy red Versace dress with the plunging neckline worn by actress Blake Lively, eDressMe.com has a similar style for just $230.

And though red-carpet bling can cost a mint, Target has a new collection of gold and silver jewerly at affordable prices. I found a pair of rhinestone-studded ball earrings, for only $29, perfect for work, as well as with the little black dress.
