Stanley Awarded Contract with U.S. Army to Support Advanced-Capability Warhead Development

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), a leading provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, today announced that it was awarded a five-year, single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a $64 million ceiling by the U.S. Army to support the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) in the development of Advanced-Capability Insensitive Munition Warheads.

AMRDEC provides technology solutions for U.S. soldiers and military worldwide. This award sustains the Army technology objective for smaller, lighter, cheaper munitions components, which seeks to integrate multi-purpose, insensitive munition-compliant warheads that will efficiently defeat armor, fortified structures and personnel. The technologies developed under this contract will result in improved performance of current missile systems against future threats, improve insensitive munitions response to threats, and allow munitions to provide effects against a wide variety of threats.
