NTT and Ubitus Enter Strategic Alliance to Promote Multi-Device Video Distribution Business

Ubitus's distributed computing technology helps to centralize computing power, democratize access, and optimize network bandwidth consumption. Together with Ubitus technology and the NTT Group's image processing technologies such as encoding, the image conversion processing with a large load requested from the video delivery in the multiple devices can be done with the on-demand. The two companies will promote the platform for multiple devices video distribution service and firstly pursue the new broad rich media distribution market in Japan using PCs, mobile phones and IPTV.

NTT and Ubitus will set up various committees to study new value-added services, aiming at the further vitalization of the video distribution market in Japan at the first step and examining the possibilities of business in overseas markets.
