Oct. 5--ADVERTISING, MARKETING and PUBLIC RELATIONS

--Brian Tassinari and Kelsey Lundy were named vice presidents of D.C.-based public-relations firm Policy Impact Communications. Mr. Tassinari and Miss Lundy will work in the firm's Arizona office. Before joining Policy Impact, Ms. Lundy worked as director of legislative relations for the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Tassinari worked as communications director to the president of the Arizona State Senate.

ASSOCIATIONS, GOVERNMENT and NONPROFITS

--Jeff Applekamp joined the Gas Processors Association as director of government affairs for the Oklahoma trade group. Mr. Applekamp previously worked as a contract consultant and lobbyist for two Oklahoma energy companies, OGE Energy Corp. and Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma Inc. He also served as a government affairs manager and lobbyist for Public Service Co., another Oklahoma energy company.

--Andrew L. Meyer, vice president for learning at Anne Arundel Community College, was reappointed by Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold to the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. board of directors. He will serve a two-year term.

LEGAL

--Joan Bernstein and Dana Rosenfeld joined the D.C. offices of Kelley Drye and Warren LLP as consumer protection lawyers. Miss Bernstein and Miss Rosenfeld previously worked for Bryan Cave LLP in the District. Both will practice in Kelley Drye's advertising and marketing group. Miss Rosenfeld will also serve as chair of Kelley Drye's privacy and information-security practice.

--Cory Curl joined the D.C. office of national law firm Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough LLP as a senior policy adviser to EducationCounsel LLC, an advocacy organization committed to strengthening and expanding access to education. Ms. Curl previously worked for Tennessee's Office of State Planning and Policy, where she developed initiatives to improve teacher effectiveness.

--Veteran ABC News and CNN broadcast journalist Eileen M. O'Connor and former White House Special Counsel Lanny J. Davis will join the D.C. branch of global law firm McDermott Will and Emery LLP as counsel and partner, respectively. They will work in the firm's regulatory and government strategies practice group, where they will advise clients on crisis management regarding a broad range of public policy and regulatory matters. Before joining McDermott, Mr. Davis and Ms. O'Connor practiced law at the D.C. office of Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP.

--Erin M. Dunston joined the intellectual property practice at Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney PC's Alexandria office. Miss Dunston previously was of counsel in the D.C. office of Bingham McCutchen LLP.
