NICAL Sports & Media Inks Agreement With WWEBNET

MCLEAN, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/06/09 -- NICAL Sports & Media Group, Inc. is pleased to announce today that it has entered into an advisory engagement with WWEBNET, INC. (PINKSHEETS: WWEB) to provide strategic advice on programming, acquisition and licensing in the sports and entertainment industries.

NICAL's management has over two decades of experience with high profile sports and entertainment properties. Kevin Wynne, NICAL's founder, was formerly Vice President of Sports & Consumer Sales for Madison Square Garden and previously worked in several executive positions for IMG, one of the world's leading talent and licensing agencies, including Director of Client Retirement Planning and President of IMG Boxing, a new division founded by Wynne -- where he signed World Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield to an exclusive marketing representation agreement.

"Kevin Wynne's background and experience in event marketing, strategic planning, as well as his intimate knowledge of entertainment properties, will be incredibly helpful to our company," said Robert Kelly, CEO of WWEBNET. "His relationships with executives, content owners and talent are extensive. Furthermore, having worked for Cablevision and negotiated closed circuit and pay-per-view distribution deals, Kevin has unique knowledge of the limitations inherent to the world's existing cable and satellite distribution networks -- key targets of WWEBNET, Inc."

WWEBNET technology allows content to be directly delivered over the world's cable, satellite and Internet networks, straight to a targeted computer or device. WWEBNET doesn't "stream" content but delivers content in its entire original length, avoiding the hiccups and interruptions typically associated with streaming-based Web sites. This is made possible because WWEBNET essentially converts a hard drive into what could be compared to a smart DVR -- enabling it to store, record, pause, replay and even limit the pricing, availability and number of times content can be viewed, heard, or length of time it can be stored.

"WWEBNET's software broadcast technology allows automatic and direct delivery of audio and video over the Internet, via a secure two-way, software communications channel. This capability provides a massive sea-change in the number of options and opportunities for content owners, major event marketers and artists, worldwide, to increase their revenues and consumer reach. The delivery system is fast and markedly similar to a cable or satellite network, without the infrastructure cost. It is clearly a next generation delivery system," said Kevin Wynne, NICAL's CEO.
