Targacept, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRGT)
announced today that the recently announced underwritten public offering
of 2,200,000 shares of its common stock has been priced at a price to
the public of $21.00 per share. As previously announced, Deutsche Bank
Securities will act as sole manager for the offering andTargacept has
granted Deutsche Bank Securities an option to purchase an additional
320,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
The offering is being made pursuant to an effective shelf registration
statement that Targacept previously filed with the Securities and
