JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Perry Rotella, an information technology executive with diverse management experience, has joined Verisk Analytics as senior vice president and chief information officer. He is responsible for the development and execution of information technology initiatives at Verisk Analytics in support of the company's business operations.

Before joining Verisk, Mr. Rotella was senior vice president and chief information officer of Moody's Corporation, where he served as the first CIO for the corporation and was responsible for all aspects of information technology strategy, support, and operations globally.

Before that, he served as CIO for AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group and as AIG's global chief technology officer, responsible for setting global technology direction and leveraging technology to support new sources of revenue.

Mr. Rotella currently serves as the president of the New York chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). SIM is an association of senior IT executives and prominent academicians and consultants who come together to share and enhance their intellectual capital for the benefit of members and their organizations. He received his bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
