Oct. 12--Supply chain solutions provider JDA Software Group Inc. showcased its proven solutions and best practices that can help its local partners streamline their businesses and help them meet efficiency and productivity objectives during the JDA Day Philippines held in Makati City recently. During the summit, JDA Day, the company executives met with the local retailers, manufacturers and wholesaler-distributors, and discussed how the JDA's solutions and expertise could help their partners address the emerging market challenges.

Stephen McNulty, regional vice president of JDA Software for Asia Pacific, said the summit is the right venue for them "to demonstrate our proven, industry-leading solutions and superior services while strategizing with top local companies."

"The Philippines is expected to grow at least 3.7 percent this year, and as one of the newly industrialized emerging market economies of the world, we are excited by the tremendous opportunity in one of the Asia Pacific's fastest growing regions," McNulty added.

Cherokee Chamorro, country manager for JDA Software Philippines, said the JDA Day was held annually and was organized "to help JDA Software companies in the country optimize their organizations."

Established in 1985, the Arizona-based company has more than 5,800 customers in 60 countries, consisting of retailers, manufacturers, wholesaler-distributors and services industries companies. In the Philippines, McNulty said they have at least 50 to 60 clients, mostly retailers.

According to Chamorro, retail business in the country ranges from approximately $5 billion to $10 billion.

"With our expansive partner network, JDA is able to share global best practices with the leading Philippine organizations that reside outside of Metro Manila," McNulty said. "Now organizations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao also have access to JDA's superior retail and supply chain solutions."

McNulty said the JDA solutions are designed to address critical areas affecting local retail and manufacturing businesses today. "We want our customers get the right product at the right time and at the right price," he said.

Globally, JDA Software provides manufacturers, distributors, retailers and service companies with integrated merchandising, supply chain, revenue management planning and execution, logistics and optimization solutions.
