Alternative Fuel Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AFTC) announced
yesterday that the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) has
purchased two dimethyl ether (DME) Fuel Pumps.
The KIER is a Government of Korea sponsored agency dedicated to
finding renewable energy resources and clean fuel technology for the
country of Korea. The KIER plans on testing the DME pumps by
installing them in Hyundai e-Mighty trucks for real world testing
after laboratory testing for efficiency. Korea has been struggling to
improve air quality and move away from dependence on foreign energy
since their "growth" spurt in the 1970s and 1980s.
When the entire chain is taken into account, DME from feedstock is
the most efficient fuel, and can be up to five times more efficient
then standard diesel.
Other active stocks are: General Electric (NYSE: GE), Fuel Systems
Solutions (NASDAQ: FSYS) ERHC Energy (OTCBB: ERHE)
