For the first time, First State offers proprietary research to the public, including performance projections for AT&T, IBM, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., BOK Financial and other major companies.

TULSA, Okla., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Asset Management firm First State Investment Advisors today announced that it is releasing to the public free research showing proprietary risk and reward projections, as well as earnings and key fundamental data for Abbott Labs, AT&T, Colgate-Palmolive, ConocoPhillips, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and BOK Financial. The initial release of eight reports will be followed, in the coming weeks, with new research on at least 20 more companies, including 3M, GE, Microsoft and ONEOK.

"This research, which is the foundation for the company's investment decision-making, had previously been made available only to our clients," says Sid Shupack, founder and President of First State Investment Advisors. "We know how important quality information and analysis can be in the investment process. In these challenging times, if our proprietary research can help people make better and more sound decisions, we feel the right thing to do is to let them use it."

First State research includes easy-to-understand summaries for each company that show basic descriptions and outlooks, as well as First State's proprietary stock price range projections for 2009 and 2010. Each report also delivers a further 15-20 pages of detailed financial data, charts and analysis which shows all the information that was used to formulate their forecasts.

According to Shupack, "When we decided to make First State research available to the public, we made it a priority to present complex information in a simple and easy to comprehend way. For that reason every report includes a summary page that tells the average reader all they'd need to know about our expectations for the company. Additionally, we include page after page of underlying detail to ensure that the quantitative analysts who use our reports will have every number they could reasonably expect to formulate their own opinions."
