Cambridge Associates LLC, provider of independent investment advice
and research to institutional investors and private clients, has
added new leadership, staff and expertise in Asia.
Chi-Ho Song has become head of Cambridge Associates' Singapore
office, and Damien Tan and Mark Oshida have recently joined the
office as consultants. Mr. Song succeeds Peter Roney, who has
relocated to Cambridge Associates' Arlington, VA, office to serve as
the firm's Co-Director of Research. The office now has 24 employees,
including 10 consultants and nine analysts.
"We're delighted to continue to enhance and augment our consulting
and research capabilities in Asia for our global client base. We see
tremendous promise in the region and are dedicated to maintaining a
comprehensive understanding of Asian investment opportunities," said
Sandra A. Urie, President and CEO of Cambridge Associates.
Cambridge Associates' Singapore office opened in 2001 and serves a
growing list of endowments, foundations, government entities, pension
funds and family offices located in Singapore, Hong Kong/China, and
South Korea. These client portfolios range in size from approximately
US$20 million to over US$100 billion. In addition to the consulting
practice, the Singapore office specializes in researching Asian
focused traditional long-only strategies, hedge funds, private equity
and real assets. Those capabilities support Cambridge Associates'
global client base in assessing investment managers active in Asia.
In 2010, Cambridge Associates' Singapore office will host the firm's
seventh annual global investment workshop, where approximately 30 of
the firm's clients from around the world will deepen their
understanding of the regional investment landscape. Prior workshops
have been held in Shanghai, Tokyo, New Delhi, Hong Kong, Prague and
Buenos Aires.
