Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today
announced that its A-BUS® Direct audio solution won CE Promagazine's
Best Electronics Systems Technology Award for In-ceiling Speakers.
Judges cast their votes at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation
Association (CEDIA) EXPO 2009 in Atlanta. The A-BUS Direct multi-room
audio speaker needs only a single cable between the audio source and the
speaker location. It is a "plug-and-play" alternative to a traditional
system that requires multiple cables.
"This award underscores our ongoing commitment to innovation,"
said Dave Richards, structured wiring manager, Residential Products
Division, Eaton Corporation. "It is particularly gratifying when a third
party such as CE Pro has such high regard for one of our products.
A-BUS Direct is used in retrofitting and new construction. Its
high-quality sound, simple installation, flexible control and
energy-saving design make it ideal for any home."
Unlike other CAT5 volume control and speaker combinations, the
A-BUS Direct design matches amplification to the speakers and eliminates
speaker cable loss. The universal design is intended to allow the
speakers to work with any manufacturer's A-BUS equipment. A-BUS is a
registered trademark of LeisureTech Electronics Sydney, Australia.
