Oct. 20--Four bank branches in Cass County will change hands under sale agreements involving four separate banks.
The buyers are Community Bank of Raymore and the Community Bank of Pleasant Hill. The banks have common ownership but operate separately.
Community Bank of Raymore, with $117 million in assets, has agreed to buy the Harrisonville and Archie branches of Central Bank of Kansas City, as well as the Harrisonville branch of BC National Banks, which is based in Butler, Mo.
Community Bank of Pleasant Hill, with $36 million in assets, has agreed to buy the Pleasant Hill branch of BC National.
"We like the markets the branches are located in," said Jack Hopkins, president of the Raymore bank and vice chairman of the group's bank in Pleasant Hill.
The Harrisonville branches will be the Raymore bank's first in that market, which is the county seat, and one that Hopkins said he wanted to enter but thought was heavily banked.
The transactions require the approval of regulators.
BC National has notified depositors of the planned sale of its Harrisonville and Pleasant Hill branches. CEO Joe Simmens said borrowers whose loans would be involved in the sale would be notified when the transactions gain approval.
