BEIJING, Oct. 20, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- CNOOC's engineering unit, CNOOC Offshore Oil Engineering (COOCE, 600583.SH), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to build a strategic partnership with Norwegian Aker Solutions, reported the CNOOC Group newspaper.

Based on the MOU, Aker Solutions will provide management service to CNOOC's deepwater floating production system and the two parties will build a long-term strategic partnership in the global deepwater floating production business.

Aker Solutions, headquartered in Norway, is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solution.
