His responsibilities will include heightening awareness for the SmartSynch brand, during a time of unprecedented demand for smart grid solutions throughout the North American utility industry.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing, traditional advertising, direct marketing, public relations, promotions, Internet / electronic marketing, trade show marketing, grassroots and social media.

In 1992, McCool formed McCool Communications (Advertising) and The Calliope Group (Public Relations) in Atlanta, and grew them into one of the Southeast's most respected boutique marketing and advertising firms. "Campbell McCool brings a wealth of branding and marketing expertise to our leadership team," said SmartSynch CEO Stephen Johnston. "We've experienced tremendous growth and are on the cusp of great success as a company, and Campbell's experience with national and international brands is going to be a vital part of getting us to that ˜next' level. We identified that we needed a Chief Marketing Officer, and found that the perfect candidate was already living in Mississippi."

"I view this as a ˜once in a career' type of opportunity, and am honored that they approached me for the position," said McCool. "With SmartSynch's proven solution set, unique value proposition around the use of public wireless networks, and satisfied customer base exceeding 100 major North American utilities, the company is in an ideal position to be a major player in the coming smart grid evolution."
