Promontory Financial Group, the premier global consulting firm for
financial services companies, has named Yoko Otani Special Adviser.
Ms. Otani will provide strategic advice for banks and non-banks on
balance sheet management, capital plans and liquidity strategies.

Over the past 27 years, Ms. Otani has worked for Citigroup and its
predecessor companies in various capacities. Most recently, she was a
managing director in Citigroup's global corporate and investment bank
where she managed top-tier, global relationships with banks, specialty
finance, asset management and major public sector institutions. The unit
generated more than $200 million in annual revenue worldwide.

Ms. Otani joined Citicorp in 1982, heading the banking company's
corporate treasury desk, managing its funding and asset-liability
programs including $25 billion in outstanding debt and capital
instruments. In 1991 she moved to the banking group where she focused on
working with US, Japanese and European financial institutions in North
America. Ms. Otani was named managing director and credit officer in
1994, and in 2000 she was promoted to senior banker and senior credit
officer.
Ms. Otani received a bachelor's of arts degree in East Asian studies and
history from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an MBA in finance
from New York University. She completed Citigroup's senior risk, credit
and executive leadership programs and holds a Series 7 and 63 licenses.
She is also fluent in Japanese.
Ms. Otani joins a unique team of professionals at Promontory that
