WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Climate Action Partnership will hold a Clean Technology Showcase on Friday, Oct. 23 to display a host of clean technologies and innovations that will flourish under legislation to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
WHAT: USCAP Clean Technology Showcase
-- Duke Energy will illustrate how its new IGCC plant in Edwardsport, Ind.,
transforms coal into a clean burning gas.
-- DuPont will show how it is light-weighting cars, making buildings more
energy efficient and applying technology to revolutionize the solar
industry.
-- Dow will showcase an innovative roofing shingle, with solar technology
built in.
-- GE will display a line of Smart Grid-capable appliances that lower
energy bills along with its cleaner coal gasification technology.
-- GM will exhibit the development of the Chevy Volt and advanced
batteries, and offer rides in its Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell vehicle.
-- NRG Energy will highlight its STP nuclear expansion, which is on track
to potentially become the first reactor built in the U.S. in 30 years.
-- Pew Center on Global Climate Change - will showcase a variety of
current corporate and technological initiatives.
