BEIJING, Oct. 23, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- China-based solar photovoltaic (PV) product maker Trina Solar (NYSE:TSL) Ltd. (TSL.NYSE) said that it would supply about 108 MW of PV modules to Spain solar equipment distributor and engineering service provider Proyectos Integrales Solares S.L. (PROINSO).

PROINSO also has an option to buy another 12 MW of PV modules in the first quarter of 2010.

Trina Solar expects to start shipment for the order in the last quarter of 2009 and run through the first half of 2010.

The PV product manufacturer plans to deliver 38 MW and 42 MW of PV modules within 2009 and the first quarter of 2010 respectively.

The modules will be installed for solar PV projects in Europe, including Spain and Italy.

Trina Solar will host a conference call on November 19, 2009 to discuss its operating results for the quarter ending on September 30, 2009.
