TEHRAN -- A team of inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visited Iran's newly- disclosed uranium enrichment plant near Qom on Sunday, the semi- official Mehr news agency reported.

The IAEA inspectors, who arrived on early Sunday, are to stay in Iran until Tuesday and to visit Iran's second nuclear plant in different intervals, the report said. (Iran-IAEA-Nuclear)

BAGHDAD -- Two truck bombs coordinately exploded in downtown Baghdad Sunday, killing at least 132 people and wounding some 512 others in an apparent attempt to shape a setback to the Iraqi government which struggle to restore normalcy in the country nearly three months ahead of the country's national elections.

The almost simultaneous truck bombings took place at about 10: 30 a.m. (0730 GMT) near the buildings of the Iraqi Ministry of Justice and Baghdad Provincial Council in downtown the capital. (Iraq-Bombings)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki- moon on Sunday strongly condemned double car bombing attacks in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, in which hundreds were killed and wounded.

Ban, in a statement issued here by his spokesperson, said he " is shocked and deeply saddened at the news of today's double car bombing attacks near the Iraqi Ministry of Justice and the Baghdad Provincial Governorate Building in central Baghdad, in which hundreds were killed and wounded." RIO DE JANEIRO -- At least 10 people were killed and 26 others injured when a bus in which they were traveling hit a goods truck in southeastern Brazil state of Minas Gerais early Sunday morning, police said.

The crash took place around 3 a.m. local time at 220 km of Federal Highway BR-116 within the jurisdiction of the town of Catuji, some 540 km from state capital Belo Horizonte. (Brazil-Accident-Deaths)

MONTEVIDEO -- Uruguay's polling stations closed on Sunday after 12 hours of voting in the general elections that will decide the country's president and legislature.
