With the seasonal flu and H1N1 flu viruses thought to spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Barnes Distribution’s six-page Cold and Flu Flyer contains more than 32 products to mitigate and control the spread of germs. Products range from hand soaps and sanitizers and to face masks, nitrile gloves and facial tissues.
Germs are also thought to spread by employees touching something infected with flu viruses and then touching their mouth or nose. The Cold and Flu Flyer contains surface disinfectants and sanitizers, wipes and towels to clean work environments.
The CDC reports that most adults may be able to infect others one day before symptoms develop and up to seven days after becoming sick. This means employees can pass on the flu to colleagues before they even know they are sick, as well as while they are sick.
