nuBridges, the secure eBusiness authority, announced today that it has
partnered with PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data
protection, to provide nuBridges
Exchange customers with PGP® encryption technology. Utilizing the
PGP® Software Development Kit (SDK) from PGP Corporation, nuBridges has
now integrated the award winning, trusted PGP® encryption technology
into the nuBridges Exchange managed
file transfer (MFT) and B2B
gateway software solution.
nuBridges Exchange helps organizations safely share documents and files
internally and with business partners, to monitor and manage the flow of
information, and to meet governance and compliance requirements. To
support the heterogeneous requirements of today's extended enterprise,
it supports multiple protocols including sFTP
(SSH), FTPs
(SSL), FTP
with OpenPGP, HTTPs,
and AS2; runs on Windows, Solaris,
HP/UX, Linux and AS/400; and handles transfers to and from mainframe,
midrange and workstation endpoints.
nuBridges integrated the cryptographic functionality from PGP
Corporation into the nuBridges Exchange software as part of its mission
to make it safer and easier for enterprises to share and protect
sensitive information. Now, users can invoke PGP encryption
functionality from a server or client machine before sending files via
their transport protocol of choice. nuBridges chose the PGP® encryption
technology because of its long-standing industry reputation; its wide
range of field-tested and standards-based encryption, digital signature
and encoding algorithms; and its support for a variety of secure network
protocol implementations.
"nuBridges' flexible MFT solutions offer the ability to easily select
the most appropriate encryption protocols based on the enterprise's
unique environmental requirements and file types," said Kyle Parris,
nuBridges Director of Product Management. "Today's announcement extends
this flexibility, giving nuBridges Exchange customers more choice in
selecting a high-quality open encryption solution best suited to their
