New Industry Group Lands Coverage in The New York Times and Gets Interviews with Leading Voices of Solar
Oct. 27, 2009 (PR Newswire) --
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Solar is Smart. Smart is Sexy. Solar = Sexy! According to The New York Times.
On the day SolarVisionaries.Org (SVO) opened its doors, the organization delivered big on its promise to "elevate the message and expand the audience for the solar industry" by landing coverage in New York Times yesterday (SVO's NYT-Green Inc. article). Written by Jennifer Kho, a frequent contributor to NYT' Green Inc. section, the article states that SVO's efforts are "a sign that the solar industry is edging toward the mainstream."
Adding to SVO's momentum, is the fact that the nascent organization has already lined up high-powered interviews at SPI09 with some of the industry's heavy hitters. The list includes Travis Bradford of The Prometheus Institute, Roger Little of Spire Corporation, Adam Browning of Vote Solar among others. The interviews are to be conducted by supermodel and renewable energy advocate Melissa Baker. "It's important to show Americans that solar power is the way of the future. That's why I'm working with SVO to bring the industry's message to the mainstream," says Ms. Baker.
Founded by Joseph Boyce, a passionate advocate for the industry and a leading voice for Solar, SVO, a non-profit whose goal is to elevate the message and expand the audience for the solar industry, will speak with the leaders that will lead the last leg of the solar revolution at SPI09--the folks that will take solar from a niche technology to a core energy resource for the world.
SolarVisionaries.Org is scheduled to launch it's website by the end of November 2009. For more information on how to get involved or to line up an interview at this year's SPI Conference, call Joseph Boyce at 617.312.3866.
