Oct. 27--AVON -- La Petite Academy, a leader in early childhood education with more than 550 schools in 36 states and the District of Columbia, is hosting its annual Fall Festival at the Avon location from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6.

"We are very excited (about the fall festival)," said Jamie Everling with the academy. "We are ready to go, ready for the day."

The festival is done at all of the La Petite locations nationwide on the day of the location's choice and will aid the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"We are very pleased to be working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation," Everling said. "All of the La Petites will be hosting events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during a national two-week period."

Since 2003, Learning Care Group, a parent company of La Petite, has raised more than $5.6 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The festival will include a bounce house, pony rides, face painting, a gold toss, corn hole, a duck pond, and the chance to make your own caramel apple. There will also be raffle items donated by the community.

In addition, local businesses and entrepreneurs can also rent a table for $25 to participate in the event.

"It gets the name out there for a new business," Everling said. "It helps to promote themselves and to get the name out in the community."
