Oct. 27, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) nets 322 mln yuan in Q1-Q3
Beijing, Oct.28 (Xinhua) -- China Southern Airlines (ZNH.NYSE; 01055.HK; 600029.SH) reaped net profit of 322 million yuan in the first three quarters, up 134.22 percent year on year.
The airline company's operating turnover in the first three quarters marked at 40.8 billion yuan, down two percent year on year.
The earnings per share of China Southern marked at 0.05 yuan in the first three quarters.
China Southern obtained 1.794 billion yuan as the return of civil aviation infrastructure construction fund from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in the first three quarters, which largely contributed to the profit it made in the period.
Meanwhile, recovery of the aviation demand, cut in operating cost and government subsidies also contributed to the improvement in China Southern's business performance. The following is a table showing China Southern's main business indicators for the first three quarters of 2009:
