TAS,
provider of energy conversion solutions, announced today the election of
Walter M. Higgins III to its Board of Directors. Mr. Higgins brings
significant industry experience to TAS' board. Walt Higgins retired as
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Pacific
Resources (now NV Energy) on July 31st, 2007. Walt served as
Chairman and CEO of Sierra Pacific twice, from August 2000 to his
retirement and previously, prior to the July 1999 merger with Nevada
Power, from 1993 to January 1998. He previously served as Chairman,
President and CEO of AGL Resources, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Walt
served as a board member of The Edison Electric Institute and The
American Gas Association.
