Apriso®, a leading provider of manufacturing software
solutions for sustained operations excellence, today announced third
quarter revenue grew by 43 percent, on a year-over-year basis. Growth
was primarily driven by software license revenue more than doubling and
maintenance revenue increasing by more than 40 percent, each on a
year-over-year basis. Apriso has focused on new customer acquisitions to
expand market share in 2009, a strategy now validated with over half of
2009 license revenue being generated by new customers.
"Apriso's quarterly results continue to validate our customers'
success in achieving a quick return on investment, often beyond the most
aggressive industry targets," stated Jim Henderson, president and
CEO of Apriso. "This quarter we had a new customer activate their
first site and make a decision to deploy FlexNet as an enterprise
standard -- just months after their initial purchase decision. By
understanding our customer's needs and accelerating the deployment of
our software solutions, we are compressing the time to value for greater
manufacturing operations excellence."
Customer Activity
Seven customer sites were activated with new FlexNet®
applications in the third quarter 2009, bringing the year-to-date total
number of site activations to 27 in 2009.
Two new customers chose Apriso in the third quarter, including a Life
Sciences manufacturer headquartered in Japan, which produces a wide
range of pharmaceutical and medical devices. Apriso continues to expand
its role in the energy and power industry. This quarter, one of the
world's largest global energy companies selected Apriso to support their
expansion into solar power, to take advantage of the growing demand for
alternative energy sources.
Nearly every Apriso customer activation or Go-Live during the third
quarter was part of an enterprise deployment. By standardizing on
Apriso's platform-based FlexNet solution, these manufacturers are
establishing a foundation to globally standardize their business
processes, thereby extending visibility into and control over manufacturing
operations management. Site activations in the third quarter
occurred within the automotive, defense, industrial equipment, packaging
and consumer goods industries across the North American, European and
Japanese regions.
Product Updates
In September, Apriso announced support of virtualization for its FlexNet
application suite, providing manufacturers an option to reduce their
total cost of IT ownership, improve systems availability and accelerate
regulatory compliance initiatives. Manufacturers can now consider this
option when installing their FlexNet solution with VMware virtualization
technology for development, test and production environments.
